Jessica & Melanie's Wedding
"If you need someone to be on your side, please look no further. [Hooked on Forever] Lauren went above & beyond to work with us and made our day a breeze! She was professional, caring of our needs, and worked very hard to make our day special. From the moment we had our first meeting, to the clean up after the reception, she did everything to make sure we didn't worry a bit. It's hard to keep one bride happy, but she kept both brides happy on our wedding day! We couldn't be more pleased that we had Lauren there to help on our special day."
-Jessica (Bride)
The beautiful brides were married at the luxurious Lizton Lodge in September 2023. Fall in Indiana usually brings in cool weather, however, Mother Nature graced their special day with warmth and nonstop sunshine! Even into the evening, the bonfire was only used for smores and a cozy atmosphere. I could not imagine a more perfect autumn wedding!
From the moment you step onto the wooded and secluded property, the atmosphere is filled with magic, elegant intimacy, and romance.
Guests were greeted with live classical music played by Opus 2, a local string duo out of Indianapolis, as they explored the lodge and found their seats for the ceremony.
Jessica and Melanie's ceremony was held under the lighted courtyard adorned with rose petals you could smell all over the property. Together they shared beautiful and emotional vows full of love and happy tears in front of their parents and 100 of their closest friends and family. Their 4-legged pup Cooper even had a big role to play as the ring bearer!
Proceeding the Ceremony, guests were invited inside the lodge for a Cocktail hour in the courtyard. The string duo moved to the catwalk above the commons area to be enjoyed while guests explored the lodge and mingled.
The reception began with a roaring congratulations from their guests as the couple entered the White Hall for their first appearance as Mrs and Mrs! They followed it with a cake cutting and their first dance together which had the whole room in tears. The brides arranged a 16 foot charcuterie spread for their guests to graze throughout the evening of dancing and celebration. A photo booth was also set up to capture memories of the night.
Jessica and Melanie had a vision for their big day and planned the entire event independently. They created a basic timeline they wanted to be carried out and completed a hired vendors sheet for me to utilize when making my own checklists, timelines, and to-do lists for the reception and day of. It was above and beyond what I had expected, which gave me a jump start in coordinating their special day!
I had the grand opportunity to meet both brides and maid-of-honor at their favorite local coffee shop a month before the wedding, to discuss any remaining details, requirements, questions, and changes. I then sat with the property manager to review and refresh myself on the rules and policies before the final walk-through of the venue with the brides, where I watched them work together to explain everything they wanted out of their big day, as well as lovingly ensure each other's hopes and needs were met.
During the wedding rehearsal, I guided the brides and their party through the timeline and began staging decor for the following day. I aided the brides, their parents, and the wedding party through the physical walk, timing, gestures, and positions needed for the ceremony. After a few run-throughs until the brides were happy, I stayed behind to set out more decor and clean up the working spaces, while they all enjoyed a rehearsal dinner before the *Big Day*!
The morning of the wedding, I worked endlessly to set up each space according to the floor plans and decoration lists prepared. I aided the bridal party with their timeline for the day and completed any running or tasks the party required. I worked alongside a total of 11 vendors to accomplish the day's events. Assisting each vendor with the set up of locations as they arrived, keeping the timeline with each on point, and dealing with any issues that arose.
I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to aid this wonderful couple in such an important moment of their life. This was my 3rd time coordinating a wedding at the gorgeous and historic Lizton Lodge. Each wedding I have experienced here is magical and unique! It was an absolute pleasure to assist these two amazing woman as they celebrated their love and life together as they said their "I Do's". I wish them both wonderful memories of this special day and many more to come in their years together. Congratulations Mrs and Mrs Cox!
